In this introductory course, you will learn what we consider to be the fundamental behaviors essential for any dog trainer. While these behaviors may seem basic on the surface, they are the core building blocks that will set you up for success in our more advanced courses.

This is a 5-day, 40-hour immersive course taught by Chris Altherr, the creator of the E-FLO method. This innovative remote collar training technique promotes a seamless, conflict-free flow of communication between you and your dog, ensuring that training is both effective and enjoyable.

In this course, you will learn how to identify and address primary behaviors that often lead to a host of unwanted or bad behaviors. By addressing the root causes, you'll be able to produce outstanding results for both your clients and yourself. 

 

Choosing the Best Tools

We also cover the best remote collars to use with the E-FLO method, ensuring that you have the right tools to make the most of your training experience. Understanding the equipment is key to effective implementation of the E-FLO technique.

 

Hands-On Experience With Your Own Dog

To maximize your learning, you are encouraged to bring a suitable dog of your own. This hands-on approach allows you to gain practical experience and develop your skills in real-time. 

 

Remote Collar Training Set 

As part of the course, you'll receive a complete remote collar training set to keep. This ensures that you have the best tools at your disposal and can continue to apply the E-FLO techniques long after the course ends.

 

Certification & Advancement

To earn your certificate of completion and advance to E-FLO level 2, you'll need to pass both a written and physical test. This ensures that you have thoroughly understood and can effectively implement the techniques you've learned, setting you up for even more advanced training.

This course is designed exclusively for E-FLO Intro graduates, this advanced immersion elevates your communication skills from foundational engagement to precision real-world control. This course focuses on transforming you dog's focus into actionable skills, resolving complex behavioral challenges, and mastering distance work, all through E_FLO's fluid, conflict-free language.

 

From Personal Engagement To Purposeful Action

Where the Intro course established your dog's investment in you, Level 2 teaches you to redirect that focus outward into practical applications. You'll learn to channel your dog's energy into hitting targets, navigating obstacles, and coexisting with people and dogs away from you at a distance. This progression moves beyond basic obedience, turning engagement into real-world readiness. 

 

Distance Dialogue

Working at a distance becomes effortless as you master directional cues and casting - guiding your dog silently and precisely, even in high-distraction environments. Through E-FLO's movement-based language, you'll develop off-leash reliability without reliance rewards or consequences. These skills are immediately applicable to sport, service and working scenarios. 

 

Solving Complex Behavioral Challenges

Level 2 dives deep into addressing handler aggression, resource guarding, and separation anxiety-issues often mishandled by traditional training. Level 3 is where your mastery of E-FLO system comes full circle. By this stage, limiting thoughts and restrictions are gone, allowing you to advance your training skills without boundaries.
